Methane burns more cleanly than any other fossil fuel. Methane is cheap, and it
comes from domestic sources; a U.S. source of about 800 trillion cubic feet (Tcf)
of methane has been discovered in coalbeds. This significant energy source has
been converted from a centuries-old mining hazard into an environmentally
friendly fuel.
